Alan Aragon's Research Review

In January, 2008…

I launched the first-ever monthly research review targeted toward the fitness audience, and several other outfits have emulated my model since then. Alan Aragon’s Research Review (AARR) is my way of empowering health/fitness professionals & enthusiasts with the ability to examine the latest nutrition, training, and supplementation findings, and maximize results. An extract from the Review can be seen here, and a complete index of what I’ve covered thus far can be seen here. A  sample of my clientele can be seen here.

In a nutshell, AARR is a unique publication where I critically analyze the most current nutrition, training, and supplementation research. I also provide practical applications cross-checked by more than 20 years of field experience. I honestly think you’ll love AARR more than pizza, but of course I’m biased, being its creator. The following are some of the key aspects of AARR that prospective subscribers might find helpful:

  • It’s only $10 USD a month through automatic recurring payment. I purposely made AARR super-economical, so that starving students as well as pros can afford it.
  • An annual subscription ($99 USD/year), and Lifetime Access (one-time payment of $899) are also available for those who would rather commit to the longer-term rather than monthly payment.
  • You can cancel your monthly or annual subscription yourself at any time, or you can contact us directly and we’ll cancel it for you, just email support@alanaragon.com.
  • There’s no contract or minimum commitment. There are no hidden fees.
  • AARR is preposterously inexpensive for the knowledge you’ll gain, and the risk is virtually nonexistent (see above points).
  • There are no commercial or financially vested sponsors. None. I remain no-holds-barred about the truth and current state of scientific affairs with all topics discussed.
  • Myself and/or my staff are reachable and prompt to respond to subscribers’ questions or concerns, just email support@alanaragon.com.
  • Subscribers get instant access to the entire archive of issues dating back to January of 2008.

For those who need a little more encouragement to take the plunge and invest the equivalent of two Starbucks drinks a month to stay at the top of the fitness knowledge food chain, here are some real opinions about AARR from some of the health & fitness industry’s practitioners & scientists:

“Good information is hard to come by these days and vetted well-informed, exceptionally analyzed scientific information is near impossible. That is why I love AARR, it is a trusted evidenced based resource that I turn to every month. I feel confident with the information provided and its quality. One of the best investments I have made.”

Alan is the most knowledgeable nutritional expert for body composition in the industry, so you need to be learning from him. His review is a steal, plus you get all his past issues for free the instant you sign up – the value on this is insane. I can’t recommend AARR enough.”

“Just wanted to say thank you for the AARR. I know you must get comments like this all the time but it’s legitimately the best source of information available. Thank you so much. You’ve impacted me, and thus everyone whom I work with, more than you could possibly imagine.”

Jordan Syatt

“I had the honor to collaborate with Alan for his AARR on PCOS and the female menstrual cycle, which indeed felt like an incredible opportunity & great responsibility since I knew the high quality level his monthly review had!

Can I just say all the work he’s done on his monthly review is just outstanding? I love his sense of humor and cleverness in the way all the articles are written and how clear and easy is to digest the deciphered information from hard-core papers.
Alan has always well-thought-out answers & a unique perspective when it comes to discussing all things nutrition, and that my friends is worth every second of my time!! ⁣
Thank you Alan for the intense work and top level high quality work you do on your AARR!! You are a blessing not just for me but for the entire world!⁣

Astrid Naranjo, MNDP, APD

“There is a reason Alan Aragon’s Research Review has been on my monthly reading list for years: His study reviews, column interviews and editorials provide relevant, scientifically sound and trustworthy insights into the trending literature in the health and fitness industry.  The AARR is at the very least an insurance policy that I’m not only up to date, but well informed of the current state of the scientific landscape in the health, fitness and nutrition industry.  For someone with limited time to dig into literature or scour the databases, Alan’s done a lot of the work.  His growing archive of monthly issues has been and remains an information source I would recommend to practitioners wanting to up their game in understanding and applying the science of nutrition, supplementation and training.”

Scott Sevenson, PhD

“As a professional in the field of nutrition, having AARR has been a pivotal part of our system. Alan makes applicable evidence based research available at an outstanding price. His cutting edge review brings more clarity to glaring biases and allows for the average person to read and understand for themselves. AARR has been one of the most useful tools with our clients as well. You simply give them the information and allow for them to think for themselves. Thank you AARR!”

Kelli Michelle, MS, CPT, SNS, FNS

“I’m a subscriber. I can’t believe it’s only $10/month!!”

Stan Efferding, IFBB pro bodybuilder, world record-holding powerlifter

“As a trainers and nutritionists, we are all trying to educate ourselves on the latest topics when it comes to nutrition and exercise science, fat loss, and supplementation. I feel that AARR is the best evidence-based research review in the fitness industry. Alan Aragon and his team do a great job on dissecting the most controversial topics and disseminating it in a way that the average lay person can understand. Fitness magazines, blogs, youtube, and social media unfortunately don’t pass the scientific sniff test. Why? Because the information that comes out of those platforms doesn’t have scientific studies validating the information and content. If you really want to keep yourself educated and up to par on what’s going in the scientific community when it comes to nutrition and exercise science, then AARR is the only place to go. Alan Aragon in my humble opinion is one of the Top-3 smartest cats in the fitness industry. He is an absolute treasure in the fitness industry. I am glad I have him as a friend and referral to bounce stuff off if I don’t know anything. And I am glad I am a subscriber of AARR and I would advise anybody to sign up for AARR.”
